Our Story
SB Suite's founders are former "Big Four" accounting, legal, and
consulting professionals, with nearly 25 years of combined experience
serving multi-national companies as well as small businesses. They
originated SB Suite's business model based on the needs of small
business owners, as they witnessed the frustrations business owners
expressed while trying to obtain complete, high-quality, yet affordable
back-office services. The founders discovered that small business owners were both limited and overwhelmed in choice by countless local CPAs, bookkeepers, or tax
preparers, all of whom offered differing fees, not
to mention differing levels of service and quality.
As a result, SB Suite was launched with the goal of building a unique remote service, providing small businesses
across the United States with quality, professional, and highly
cost-effective back-office services, all under one roof.
Our Founders
William Yoo
Before
co-founding SB Suite, Mr. Yoo served at Deloitte & Touche as the West Coast Technology Leader, where
he designed complex costing and financial models for multi-national
clients. He served as the Controller for Cooking.com where he was
responsible for all financial projections and accounting matters.
Mr. Yoo also served as an Accounting Director at HomeBase, a warehouse
home improvement retailer, and served as a Controller for Bunge
Foods' [NYSE: BG] consumer foods group, a global manufacturing
company that serviced national brands including Yoplait and Dreyers.
He has also provided financial consulting services to numerous
small businesses. Mr. Yoo received his B.S. in Accounting from
the University of Southern California.
Thomas Suh
Prior
to co-founding SB Suite, Mr. Suh served at Deloitte & Touche, providing
specialized tax consulting services to multi-national and high-tech clients.
Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche, Mr. Suh co-founded and served
as Chief Operations Officer at DestinationRx.com and AdmissionsEssays.com.
He also served as Project Director for a venture capital and high-tech
incubator, where he devised operational, management, legal, and
business development plans for several portfolio companies. Mr.
Suh has also provided legal and management consulting services
to numerous small businesses. Mr. Suh received his B.A. from the
University of California, Los Angeles, and his J.D. from UC Hastings
College of Law. Mr. Suh is a member of the California State Bar
and the American Bar Association.
